|
|
Hi, I have installed the whole programm but have a small problem.
The Launcher is activated after the windows start, Then it opens normal.
But if i then try to run any program it says: cannot run this application!!!!
If i try to start the Browser on its own then it works tiptop. like all the other programms.... Just the launcher will not let me start any of the programms (browser, bit torrent......ect...)
Does anybody know where the problem is??
Thank you very much,
and i wish you all a merry christmas.
PS: this programm is SUUUUUPER just what i was looking for.

Did you change the default program directory when running the install program?
The supplied configuration files expect the Ten Foot programs to be in directory C:\Program Files\CITA\Ten Foot Products.
As I write this, it occurs to me that "Program Files" is worded differently in different languages. That's pretty stupid of me. Can you confirm that you don't have a C:\Program Files directory? If so, I'll do a program update to fix the problem. _________________ Andy Henderson

Yes i think thats the problem, The diroctory on a german based computer is:
C:\Programme\CITA\Ten Foot Products.
Its hopefully not a big problem to change this because the programm is really good.
I use it because i will be moving to canada. Now i wood like to see geram and swiss tv overthere. The problem is that you can not get it over satellite so you have to get it over Internet....
Now i found after a lot of research the website:
http://www10.adsl.tv/index.php
Here i have to give in my passwort and then i can watch all the channels live on my pc.
So now i have some other questions:
Is there a possibility to put the passwort & username in the form automaticly?
And is there a possibility to start the tv channels in fullscreen.
If you would like to try it out i can give you the passwort and the username..
Greetings from Switzerland..

Many apologies, Richi, that was very stupid of me.
You can download a beta release of the next version from: http://www.citaforums.com/TenFoot/viewtopic.php?p=72#72
I've updated this release to fix the problem you are seeing. Provided you use the default installation directory, the Launcher will find the other Ten Foot products regardless of which language you use in your operating system.
Regarding user id and password. I would like to be able to enter ids and passwords for you, but that is not easy to do. The Browser works with sites that offer to remember ids and passwords for you but, unfortunately, ADSL does not do that.
The Browser can help. The next time you go to enter an id or password, press the blue 'Use history' button. The Browser will show you previous entries you made. Simply select the right one to avoid having to re-enter it.
Regarding screen size, again the Browser cannot do that. It has to be a function of the web site. Some sites, like Joost, provide a full screen option. But most do not - mainly because the definition is not good enough to support full screen. I suggest asking ADSL to see if they can provide a full screen option.
I hope that's helpful. _________________ Andy Henderson

It works... Very good and lots of thanks..
My next question is about adsl tv.. again
In my normal firefox browser i have greasemonkey installed and with this programm i have installed a script that each time when i choose the adsl tv website it automaticelly logs in... Can i use the firefox in your Ten foot browser, or doesn't that script work in that program.?
You have to understand that for me this putting in the password isn't a problem... but when my wife is alone at home it schould be as easy as possible...
Thanks for all you suggestion and all the great support. |

Understood.
The way the Ten Foot Browser works is to run a copy of Internet Explorer within the program. That gives me program access to the browser and the ability, for example, to zoom pages in and out.
There was an attempt to develop a similar capability for FireFox some time ago but I believe that development stalled. In any case, FireFox doesn't (yet) support the same zoom facility as IE.
However, IE can store ids and passwords. I can't test it with the ADSL site, though. I think it's complaining that I can't use it from the UK. I get redirected to page http://www10.adsl.tv/index_badorigin.php
To use the facility: run IE; search IE help for "remember password" and follow the instructions there. I hope it works for you. _________________ Andy Henderson

You're right about adsl tv, you can't acces it from the UK ... unless you go to the site VPN and get you're self an ip adress from within Switzerland..
I know it gets a little bit slower but with high speed it should be ok.
About remember passwort i will try that out, in the mean while i thank you very much and if there is anything new or have to have somethings tested, you can always reach me here..
